«Maslenitsa»
«Maslenitsa» starts at the end of February and lasts for a week. This is a winter farewell and spring wellcome holiday. The main celebrations take place on the first and last days of the festive week. The word «Maslenitsa» comes from the Russian word «Maslo» which means «Butter».
