The Department of Foreign Languages was formed in 1966. In different periods of times the department was headed by Sobolev Nikolai Dmitrievich (1966 - 1972), Kovalevich Rimma Aleksandrovna (1972 - 1974), Egorov Vladimir Alekseevich (1974 - 1978), Venskovich Mikhail Stanislavovich (1978 - 2005). In 2005 the department was divided into 2: Department of Foreign Languages for Technical Specialties, headed by Venskovich Mikhail Stanislavovich( 2005 - 2014) and Zozulya Oksana Leontievna (2014 - 2017), as well as Department of Foreign Languages in Economics headed by Zhdanov Alexander Alekseevich (2005 - 2011) and Rakhuba Valery Ivanovich (2011 - 2017). In September 2017 the two departments were united into Department of Foreign Languages headed by Rakhuba Valery Ivanovich.

The educational process of the department is provided by 16 people: 6 assistant professors, 7 senior teachers, 2 teachers, 1 specialist in support of the educational process. The head of the department is Rakhuba Valery Ivanovich, Ph.D., assistant professor.
