Water Supply, Water Disposal Systems and Water Resources Protection

Department of Water supply, Water disposal Systems and Water resources protection was formed by order of the rector in September 2009 due to the reorganization of the department "Water Supply, Sewage Disposal Systems, and Heating Systems Engineering".

The history of the department begins in 1969, when the department "Hydraulics and Water Supply" was established.

Since 1971 the department "Water purification, sewage and sanitary engineering" has been established;

Since 1975 – Department of "Hydraulics and Water Supply";

Since 1977 – Department of "Water supply and Purification of natural waters";

Since 1981 – Department of "Water supply, Water disposal systems and Water technology";

Since 1982 – Department of "Water resources and systems";

Since 1988 – Department of "Water supply, Water disposal systems and sewerage";

Since 1998 – Department of "Water supply, Water disposal systems and Heat supply".

Since 2016, the duties of the Head of the department have been performed by Belov Sergey Grigorievich, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, associate professor.

Myasnikovich Mikhail Vladimirovich – graduate student of the department of BISI (1972), since 1998 – Doctor of Economic Sciences, professor. Since 1983, he held high party and government positions: he was a Minister of Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Belarus; Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, Chairman of the State Economic Committee; First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus; Deputy Prime Minister. From 1995 to 2001 he worked as a Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus. Since 2001, Myasnikovich has been the twelfth president of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus, since October 2004 - the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, from December 2010 to early 2015 - the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus. Since January 16, 2015 M. Myasnikovich has headed the upper house of the parliament of the Republic of Belarus.

At present the department prepares:

Civil engineers with a degree in "Water supply, Water disposal Systems and Water resources protection" (undergraduate programme), specializing in "Water Supply and Sanitation Systems".
Masters of Engineering Sciences (graduate programme);
Senior scholars (postgraduate programme).

The educational process of the department is provided by 18 people. Of these, 13 are from the teaching staff and 5 are from the support staff of the department.

In the period from 2006 to 2017, the following professors worked: Gurinovich Anatoly Dmitrievich, Candidate Of Engineering Sciences, professor, 6 Candidate workers of the department - Zhitenev Boris Nikolaevich, Novikov Vladimir Makarovich, Volkova Galina Aleksandrovna, Naumenko Lyudmila Evgenievna, Belov Sergey Grigorievich, Levchuk Natalia Vladimirovna, as well as 6 Masters of Engineering Sciences: Storozhuk Natalia Yuryevna, Naumchik Grigory Ostapovich, Nagurny Sergey Grigoryevich, Novoseltseva Anna Gennadievna, Souk Yevgenia Vladimirovna, Senchuk Darya Dmitrievna.
