The Department of Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Graphics (previously Descriptive Geometry and Technical Drawing) was formed in 1966 from the day of the foundation of the Institute.

The initial staff of the department included 4 teachers: the Head of the department Panchenko Alexander Alexandrovich and teachers Trus Alexander Mikhailovich, Derezhchuk Evgeny Mikhailovich and Gorbachev Maria Grigoryevna. Panchenko A. headed the department until 1981 and retired in 1984.

The department prepares students in full-time, evening and extra-mural forms of training on all technical specialties.
