On April 14, 2025, an important meeting was held at the Brest State Technical University as part of the Single Information Day. Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Veniaminovich Borovenko shared his vision of history and lessons of the past with students.
Vladimir Veniaminovich focused on the significance of the Great Patriotic War and its differences from the Second World War. His presentation on the topic "Nazi Plans, or How the Great Patriotic War Differs from the Second World War", based on specific facts and documents, clearly showed what terrible trials the Belarusian people were subjected to.
Particular attention was paid to the cruel plans of the Nazis regarding Belarus. Vladimir Veniaminovich emphasized that the planned genocide was purposeful and multifaceted, aimed at the almost complete extermination of the country's indigenous inhabitants and the subsequent settlement of the territories by German settlers.
Concluding the meeting, Vladimir Veniaminovich appealed to young people to preserve historical memory and make every effort to prevent a repetition of the horrors of the past era.
