A roundtable discussion, "The October Revolution in the Mirror of History," was held at Brest State Technical University to commemorate October Revolution Day.

The event brought together students, political figures, and activists, including the following speakers:

Sergey Antonovich Kasperovich, Rector of BrSTU and First Secretary of the Brest Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus;

Natalya Petrovna Yalovaya, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work at BrSTU;

Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Korkotadze, Director of the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex and Member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus;

Yelizaveta Dmitrievna Chemarmazovich, First Secretary of the Brest Regional Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.

The roundtable participants discussed the key moments leading to the October Revolution, assessed its significance for subsequent societal development, and examined the achievements and social guarantees provided by the establishment of Soviet power. Particular attention was paid to comparing historical events with contemporary realities, emphasizing the importance of public organizations and political parties in the formation of modern social structures and civic consciousness.
