III International Scientific and Methodological Conference "Education Quality Assurance: Current Status, Problems, and Prospects"

The III International Scientific and Methodological Conference, dedicated to current issues in education quality assurance, opened today at the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The event brought together specialists and experts from various countries to discuss current achievements, challenges, and prospects for the development of the education system in the region and beyond.

The conference was organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Department for Education Quality Assurance, and the Brest State Technical University.

Representatives from Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan participated in the conference, demonstrating the broad international interest in education quality and the exchange of best practices.

Alexander Gennadyevich Bakhanovich, First Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus, addressed the conference participants with a welcoming address.

Representatives from the Brest region joined the online event at Brest State Technical University.

The conference included a plenary session, an open dialogue platform, and open mic sessions covering all aspects of developing a high-quality education system.

BrSTU Rector Sergey Antonovich Kasperovich delivered a report at the plenary session on the topic: "University Competence Centers as a Factor in Improving the Quality of Engineering Training (Based on the Example of BrSTU)"

Sergey Antonovich presented a unique model for integrating higher education with industry, emphasizing the importance of competence centers as a bridge between universities and employers. His presentation highlighted the following key aspects: how competence centers contribute to strengthening the practical focus of student training; the introduction of digital laboratories and practice-oriented programs that are changing traditional approaches to training engineers and specialists through the use of modern technologies; and the university's leadership position in the region in the development of robotics and digital engineering.

The conference provided a platform for exchanging experiences and discussing innovative approaches to improving the quality of education, thereby contributing to the further development of educational systems in the Commonwealth of Independent States and beyond.
