From November 13 to 15, 2025, the International Belarusian-Russian Forum "Nobody Forgotten, Nothing Forgotten" was held in Minsk and Brest. It was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The event brought together leading scholars, educators, and representatives of libraries, archives, and museums from Belarus and Russia to discuss current issues in teaching the history of the Great Patriotic War, preserving historical memory, and countering falsifications of the past.
The final day of the forum took place in Brest, at the Russian Center for Science and Culture, where a roundtable discussion was held on the integration of museum, archival, and library resources into the educational process in schools in both countries. The presentation was titled "Education through Memory." Yulia Vyacheslavovna Azarkevich, Director of the Brest State Technical University Library, spoke at the "Brest – City of Courage and Glory" project as an example of effective collaboration. Her presentation drew particular attention from the participants as a shining example of a successful practice of incorporating local historical and cultural heritage into the educational process of young people.
Forum participants visited the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex and the Brest Fortress Defense History Museum, and laid flowers at the Eternal Flame. This ceremony served as a symbolic conclusion to the business program and a reminder of the unwavering responsibility of new generations to preserve the memory of this heroic deed.
