Roundtable Discussion: "Responsible Health: HIV and STI Prevention"

Brest State Technical University hosted an important roundtable discussion to mark World HIV Prevention Day. The topic was "Responsible Health: HIV and STI Prevention."

Svetlana Eduardovna Demchuk, a dermatovenerologist at the Brest Regional Dermatovenereology and Venereal Diseases Dispensary, spoke as an invited expert. She provided a detailed discussion of the stages of infection, the characteristics of the disease, and modern methods of treating and preventing HIV and STIs.

Each participant received a red ribbon folded into a loop, a symbol of the fight against HIV. This symbol served as a reminder of the importance of health care, responsibility, and solidarity with people living with HIV.

The discussion and active participation of students highlighted the relevance of the topic and the importance of preventive measures for fostering a responsible attitude toward one's own health. This event helps raise awareness and promote measures to prevent the spread of HIV and STIs among young people.

As part of the event, BrSTU students and staff attended the youth campaign "Reduce Risks," dedicated to HIV Prevention Day. The event was held at the Republican Palace of Culture of Trade Unions.
