President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree awarding presidential grants for 2026. The list includes 42 specialists in science, education, healthcare, culture, and youth policy, including representatives of Brest State Technical University:
Oleg Pavlovich Meshik, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Systems and Ecology at Brest State Technical University, PhD in Engineering, and Associate Professor, ‒ to obtain new scientific results assessing the heat and moisture supply of the territory of the Republic of Belarus under current global warming conditions, which will help identify regions most vulnerable to drought and implement climate-resilient planning for land reclamation and water management.
Viktoria Vasilievna Zazerskaya, Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Brest State Technical University, PhD in Economics, and Associate Professor, is working on the development and implementation of an electronic teaching and methodological complex for the academic discipline "Financial Management in the Information Society" corresponding to current domestic and international educational standards, along with an interactive workshop on the use of artificial intelligence-based technologies for students majoring in "Electronic Economics." This will improve the quality of training for specialists in financial management by combining economic knowledge and engineering skills for enterprises in the real sector of the economy.
