On May 14, 2026, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Current Issues of Modern Economic Systems - 2026" was held at the Department of World Economy, Marketing, and Investment at Brest State Technical University.
The conference was attended by scholars and specialists from 13 higher education institutions from five countries, including the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus, Polesie State University, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, Belarusian State University of Economics, Brest Regional Institute for Education Development, National Research Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg State University of Economics, Tula State Pedagogical University named after L.N. Tolstoy, South-Russian Institute of Management, Baku Engineering University, Khakass State University named after N.F. Katanov, Tajik National University, and specialists from the real sector of the economy.

The speakers addressed the current state of the global economy, the digitalization of the global economy, government innovation policy, and prospects for economic development in the Republic of Belarus. Scholars and specialists from various universities presented over 60 papers, each of which provided a fresh perspective on familiar concepts and sparked heated discussions.
